Here are photos of Route VA-288 under construction, taken in late October, 2001. All were taken on the same day within a couple hours.

The first four photos are of the construction of the VA-288 James River Bridge and approaches, seen from the Goochland County (northern side) of the river. The 5th photo is of the construction of the VA-288 James River Bridge and approaches, seen from the Powhatan County (southern side) of the river. The 6th and 7th photos show heavy construction equipment that is being used on the roadway portion of the project.
