Here's 6 photos of Route 895 under construction, taken in November, 2001.

Photos #1 through #3 show 1) construction of west abutment and west approach to the Route 895 James River Bridge, and the elevated Ramp G under construction from westbound Route 895 to southbound I-95; taken from southbound VA-150 Chippenham Parkway; 2) construction of the elevated Ramp E, which is the ramp from I-95 northbound to Route 895 eastbound, 3) view of construction of Route 895 from the Willson Road overpass bridge over Route 895.

Photos #4 through #6 show construction on the eastbound span of the main span of the Route 895 James River Bridge, which is being built by the cast-in-place balanced cantilever method. The vantage point is from the ramp from VA-150 Chippenham Parkway to I-95 northbound, looking eastward toward construction of main span.
